Our story.
At Hi Candle! we love candles. Our mission is to produce a collection of accessible gender-neutral scented candles using the highest quality, safest ingredients and minimal materials.
We choose to use coconut and soy wax that contains absolutely no palm or paraffin content. We also source fragrances that are are phthalate-free and contain a blend of essential oils, nature identical compounds and man-made compounds.
Our brand features the smiling face of young Rupert. Rupert represents all that we want our candles to be: warm, inviting and friendly. These are candles for everyone.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, we are proudly independent and we take great effort and care in the candles we produce for you.
Meet the maker.
Founder and candle maker Andrew Gaul has always loved candles. Disregarding many store-bought candles made with paraffin wax, Andrew spent several years creating his own scented candles in his home kitchen with safer waxes and fragrances.
For the longest time Andrew’s hobby remained just that: a hobby. But it soon come time for the hobby to become something more. So, Hi Candle! was borne.
To this day Andrew hand makes each and every candles using coconut and soy wax, phthalate fragrances and lead free cotton wicks.
